David  will demonstrate a variety of lighting set ups in environmental locations,  balancing both indoor and outdoor ambient light with strobes to create powerful images.  Films, filtration and essential equipment to bring on location will be covered.   Students should bring there portfolios or samples of their work regardless of whether they  use strobe lighting in their photographs.  

David Zickl's portraits have appeared in TIME, Arizona Highways, Business Week, Money, Bicycling, Runner's World, New York Magazine, Fortune, Parade, Forbes, Parenting and others. His corporate and advertising clients include Harley Davidson, Lucent Technologies, Computer Science Corp. and Phelps Dodge. David has previously led workshops at the International Center of Photography, New York.
